The reason why I am determined to help?
My daughter-in-law Meghan was a beautiful, happy, and loving soul. Friends and family were her life. She and her “nugget”, Cadence, shared a magical bond unlike any other. For her husband, Stephan, her parents and sister, and her Gacky & Pappaw… Meghan was the heart and soul of her family.
She was a graduate of Northeast Guilford High School. Meghan went on to graduate from Appalachian State University where she earned her degree in education and was a teacher at Allen Jay Elementary School in High Point.
Many years ago, Meghan proclaimed that she was a Super Fabulous Princess. She lived that title to the fullest, most notably at Allen Jay Elementary School, where she spread her fabulousness far and wide. Meghan loved her school family and her kids dearly… and that love has been returned to her many times over.
After she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Meghan kept all of us moving forward. Many times, she reminded us, “I do not claim it. It does not Define Me. I will not let it take the joy from my life”. Meghan’s one fear was the sadness she knew this illness could one day bring to her friends and family. Please follow Meghan’s lead and do not let her passing take your joy.. Remember her in her full Harry Potter glory. And remember one of her favorite quotes from Albus Dumbledore. “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
There is so much we can do if we all pitch in and help, that is why I pledge to help those fighting and dying to survive by supplying children with quality education to be successful in life, something Meghan was very passionate about and use a portion to help find a cure for Breast cancer and save lives. Susan Komen is getting closer and closer with new treatments and new medicines that are giving women quality lives to fight like HELL to survive.
Will you join us? If you don't have children but have a friend or family member you have lost to this terrible disease you are welcome to donate.. It only take a handful of us to care enough for someone else. I gave my time and love to those we have lost close to our hearts, Now I am going to give more to you, them, they....whoever needs it.
God tells us to forget ourselves before He will take care of us but do what you can for others, help them. That's what I intend on doing until my dying breath.
